Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I have always enjoyed China House, specifically their fried rice selections. Their Crab Meat Rangoon's are tasty and sweet. Their deep fried chicken wing always satisfy. Staff is very nice and courteous. Give it a try. They deliver so remember to tip. They deserve it!

Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Family owned, fresh ingredients, decent portions, and inexpensive. I strongly recommend.

For some reason I completely forgot there was a Chinese fast-food restaurant here, I'm glad this suggestion popped up on my screen when I was looking for a place to eat. At first I was surprised with the location because Tsing Tsao is right down the street a few blocks, and they are also a Chinese fast-food restaurant. This creates some serious competition between the two I would assume. This is an order-at-the-counter eatery, so walk up to the counter to order and they will bring your order to your table. There was only a couple of people eating in, because a fast-food eatery, there were many many many people coming in to order out or picking up their order they ordered on the phone. We were one of the few people who wanted to enjoy the full experience of eating in. We ordered the House Special fried rice and the Shrimp in Lobster sauce, with an order of Chicken Wings for an appetizer. The fried chicken wings were okay, not the best I've had, but not bad. The House Special fried rice was very good! Lots of chicken, pork, and shrimp! Great flavors and a good amount! The Shrimp in Lobster sauce was great! Great flavors, texture, and they did not skimp on the shrimp, there was a good size amount! I would definitely order food from here again! The food was ready very quick and the prices are great! The staff is friendly and efficient, if you are in a hurry, you won't be disappointed.

You receive rather large portions but you don't receive the typical side dishes during the dinner hour. You have to order the soup, spring rolls separate. In addition if you want fried rice other than white rice there is an additional charge. We ordered the beef & broccoli, the brown sauce was rather flavorful and nice ratio of meat to broccoli. Cashew chicken had plenty of cashews. Lot of chicken, however you need to be very careful we found bones in the chicken in this dish and in the chicken lo mein! My daughter said the Chicken LoMein was good until the bone and she refused to eat more of it. Crab rangoons had plenty of stuffing. Spring rolls were crispy and delicious.

I had stopped eating chinese food in Des Moines because of the poor quality. But one day my mom ordered takeout and I tried some...best chinese in Des Moines! Their crab rangoons are the best I've ever had, and all the other menu choices I've tried (cashew chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice) have been amazing! I will admit, it's a little hole-in-the-wall-ish. And I've never eaten in the restaurant myself. But it's great! So yummy.

Excellent food, very quick delivery and portions so large, I had dinner for the next day too.

Given that there are not that many options for dining out in Des Moines, I must say that I was positively surprised when I ordered take-out from China House. The quality of the food was good and the prices were very cheap.

They delivered the food to my hotel within 30 minutes. Food was fresh and warm. Really inexensive. The only bummer was that the restaurant ran out of hot and sour soup and I had to settle for wonton which was way too salty. Will use them again.
